Early in the morning, I took the bus to Jaipur in Pushikar bus stand. On the way to Jaipur, I was surprised to see the six-lane highway because I've never seen the highway before in India. Meanwhile I saw only the bumpy asphalt road without any seperation lines. If two cars from opposite directions came closer, they would reduce their speed and went beside the other car. So the six-lane highway was quite impressive for me. It was amazing.

As soon as I arrived in Jaipur, I had my bag kept in the railway station. In India, the railway station provides several convinient services with cheap price. Anyway after my bag kept, I went to the theater to watch the movie. Jaipur is very famous for its big theater. At that time, the typical Indian move, called Masala movie, Neal N' Nikki was on the screen. The dance and music are quite essential in the typical Indian movie. The main characters often sing and dance suddenly in the middle of the movie; especially actresses dance showing the sexual appeal though there is no bed scene in the movie. And with the sales of the O.S.T., it is said that the success of the movie can be estimated. However, the story is rather embarrasing; it concerns only the absurd love story.

On the roof of Iswari Minar Swarga Sal

After watching the movie, I went to Iswari Minar Swarga Sal. In Pushikar, the Israeli friends whom I met in Rishikeshi and Pushikar recommend the tower and Nahargarh aka the tiger fort. Thank you guys again...:-) The tower is located in the center of Jaipur fort, so people can look down the whole city on its roof. And it was not even so hard to go up to the top. The scenery was quite nice and I was a little surprise how the people at that time could build such a high architecture.

On the top of Nahargarh

After getting down the tower, I went to Nahargarh, the tiger fort, located on the high hill. It was quite a hard way to go up to that. However, the winding stone road to the fort made me overwhelmed and impressed. As the power of the Maharaja must have been reflected in the fort, the fort was grandiose. And the sceneary from the wall of the fort was amazing especially with sunset. Maharaja is another name of the king in the Rajasthan state. Many maharajaes have ruled in many places in Rajasthan and it seemed that people in Rajasthan were traditionally very faithful to maharajaes, even today.
